is a simple test used to help diagnose and monitor certain lung conditions by measuring how much air you can breath out in one forced breath by using a machine know as spirometer. By undergoing spirometry, we can help establish your baseline lung function, evaluate dyspnea, detect pulmonary disease, monitor effects of therapies used to treat respiratory disease, evaluate respiratory impairment, evaluate operative risk, and perform surveillance for occupational-related lung disease. The measurement extracted will be sent to our in-house Pulmonologist who will then interpret whether the test carried out shows any problems which can be interpreted as “obstructive”, “restrictive” or a combination of the two.
